When defending a DUI case, Mr. Cronin examines the details surrounding the traffic stop, field sobriety testing, breath testing, blood or urine testing, police procedures, and the circumstances of the arrest. He works to identify potential weaknesses in the prosecution’s case and determine whether evidence was properly obtained and handled.

Extensive Trial Experience

Before founding The Cronin Firm, Mr. Cronin was a partner at Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young, a prominent Philadelphia law firm, where he served as co-chair of the firm’s insurance practice group and tried numerous jury trials for the litigation department.

His experience handling high-stakes litigation has helped develop the courtroom skills, preparation, and competitive nature that he brings to DUI defense. Mr. Cronin understands that successful representation requires preparation, attention to detail, and the willingness to challenge evidence when appropriate.

Education and Background

Mr. Cronin graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1988 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He then attended Temple University School of Law, graduating in 1991.

While attending college and law school, Mr. Cronin worked full time while running his own construction and painting business. He also clerked at several law firms to gain practical legal experience before beginning his career as an attorney.

Outside of his legal career, Mr. Cronin taught Tae Kwon Do, competed in martial arts, and regularly participated in black belt tournaments throughout the country. These experiences helped develop the discipline, determination, and competitive mindset that continue to influence his approach to practicing law.

Committed to His Community

Mr. Cronin has a long history of serving his community. He has volunteered as an attorney with the Support Center for Child Advocates, representing abused children in Philadelphia. Since 2006, he has served as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Cronin is also a former CCD teacher, currently serves as a lector at his church, and serves on the Board of Directors of My Father’s House, a nonprofit organization.
